Current Issues in Personality Psychology (CIPP) publishes high quality original articles and reviews of recognized scientists that deal with personality theories and research from the perspective of social science, law and medicine. CIPP promotes the study and application of personality psychology to various domains of individual and social functioning. Journal is indexed in: EBSCO, Index Copernicus ICV=9 (100), J-Gate, Polish Medical Library (GBL), ROAD Directory of Open Access scholarly Resources, ERIH PLUS, Ministry of Science and Higher Education in Poland 2015: 12.
Call for papers
“Birth Challenges and Opportunities: A Salutogenic Approach to Birth”
Guest Editors: Olga Gouni and Soo Downe
The guest editors would like to invite interested authors to provide empirical (qualitative and quantitative) and theoretical manuscripts that examine birth challenges and opportunities from a salutogenic approach. This includes, but is not limited to manuscripts that evaluate
- the relationship of personality/self-concept with emotional, cognitive and relational functioning of mothers and fathers in transition to parenthood,
- the impact of social support and life history on this transition, and especially birth,
- the link between the conception, gestation and birth experience of an individual and the subsequent quality of life and wellbeing
- Primordial Health Advancement guidelines to be taken into account during conception, pregnancy, birth and post partum
Authors will be asked to emphasize the salutogenic perspective.
In addition, potential authors are welcome to consider contributions which evaluate individual differences, health promotion indicators, development, assessment, and diagnosis of salutogenic factors.

|30 September 2016||Submission of a letter of intent with accompanying abstract (Max 500 words) which includes: (a) full author names, contact details and affiliations, (b) explanation of why the study is novel and its unique contribution to the field (c) a description of how the study fits with the call for papers to the guest editors at firstname.lastname@example.org|
|30 November 2016||Notification to authors for the selection of abstracts and invitation to submit a full manuscript (Max 6000 words each)|
|1 April 2017||Submission of first draft via the journal portal|
|31 August 2017||Feedback from first round of reviews to authors|
|30 November 2017||Submission of revised papers|
|March 2018||Publication of successfully reviewed papers|
